Maria J. Bruce & Kayla E. Flowers

We provide counseling services to all 6 elementary and middle schools in Scott County.  We additionally serve any students that attend the Alternative School, that was formerly in the middle schools.  Together we serve over 2,000+ students.  Between the two of us, we hold 7 degrees and are currently pursuing more.  We both are parents.   Between us we have 6 children of our own, 3 girls and 3 boys.  We both have a sincere passion to help children achieve their maximum gifts and abilities in life while over coming medical, mental or learning disabilites. 

Experience & Qualifications
Maria J. Bruce has been a counselor for Scott County Schools since 2011.  Prior to working for Scott County she worked for Tennessee Technological University, The University of Georgia, and was a Law Clerk and worked in an academic law library.  Maria holds two bachelors, a masters in Mental Health and an Eds. in Leadership.  Maria is currently persuing her PhD
Experience & Qualifications
Kayla E. Flowers has been a counselor for Scott County Schools since 2019.  Prior to becoming a counselor she worked as a teacher for Fairview Elementary.  Kayla holds a bachelors, a masters in Mental Health and a Eds. in Mental Health.
